After being in much discussion, The Chinese Tech Giant Huawei has officially announced its Nova 8 series. The series is coming with Huawei Nova 8 and Huawei Nova 8 Pro with premium design and specification.

Nova 8 and 8 Pro

Design and Display

Huawei Nova will come with 6.57 inch OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and FHD+ resolution. The phones have curved displays with minimal bezels. The punch hole is mounted at the center of the display.

Nova 8 Pro will have 6.72 inches with a higher resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The device is mounted with a larger main rear camera and has small bezels. The front camera is a pill shaped dual sensor.

Internals and Storage

Internally, both devices are provided with same features. Both of them have 7nm Kirin 985 chipset with an availability of 5G support. On the storage side Nova series has 8GB RAM and 256GM onboard storage. The expandable memory option is not provided in both devices.

On the software front, Both Huawei No 8 and 8 Pro will go with Android 10 with Huawei’s EMUI. The Google services or apps are not available in both phones.

Nova 8 and 8 Pro

Cameras

As far as the camera specifications are concerned, both Nova 8 and 8 Pro have same camera setup. The main camera in both devices comes with 64MP main sensor with 8MP ultrawide sensor and dual cameras of 2MP for macro photography and depth sensing.

The only difference camera wise is that Huawei Nova 8 comes with a single 32MP front camera and on the other hand Nova 8 Pro is featured with a 32MP ultrawide lens and a duo of a 16MP main camera.

Battery and Pricing

Huawei Nova 8 is powered by 3,800mAh battery and Nova 8 pro is powered with a bigger battery of 4,000mAh. Both devices comes with a support of 66W fast charging feature as well that fully charges the devices only in 35 minutes.

The Huawei Nova 8 will be sold at $504 and Nova 8 Pro will comes with a price tag of $612. Both smartphones will be available for sale in the market on 30 December 2020.
