An analyst firm has claimed that Apple has settled on a screen size of 4.8” for the iPhone 6. The iPhone 6 will come with an increase of 0.8” over the iPhone 5 – a 4.8” screen. Cowen and Company made the claim.

Apple is exploring larger screen sizes for its next flagship smartphone, as numbers of reports have claimed. However, this is the first claim by an analyst that in stone, Apple has set the size. Apple may be considering launching two different, larger mobiles in June, previous reports claimed.

The Chinese analyst that claimed a June launch date also predicted a larger screen, while a story published by ‘Digitimes’ also claimed that Apple is working on a 4.7” smartphone.

On when the company is likely to launch the new, larger iPhone, Cowen and Company did not put a date.

According to Cowen and Company, a larger screen is not the only new feature set to debut in the iPhone 6. The iPhone 6 will also come with 802.11ac, which is the latest standard in Wi-Fi technology, it also added.

Though, the 4.8” version might not be the only large iPhone 6 coming. The Chinese analyst claimed that Apple is believed to be working on potentially the first iPhone phablet – a second, even larger iPhone.
