Lumia 525 has just made it to select markets, which is recently announced. It is surprising that than the Lumia 520, it’s got an even more cutthroat pricing.
The Lumia 520/521 are making up 30% of all Windows Phones sold. With the fact that the prices of these models are lower than any similar hardware from Android, a lot of it has to do with that. Over at Amazon UK, the Lumia 520 just recently hit an all-time low price of $110 SIM-free. Lumia 520 is back to $160 price levels as the Amazon stock is now sold out.
At 629 Yuan ($100), online Chinese phone retailer Tmall has priced the 525. Despite the 525’s better specs, Tmall is offering the 525 for less than what Amazon charges for the 520.
Considering what buyers get, these prices are very appealing: 1GB RAM and a 4” display with the latest Windows Phone 8. To all of the apps in the Windows Phone marketplace, 1GB of Ram would allow users access. The free voice-guided navigation and expandable storage are also very enticing.
In the US and Europe, there’s no official datwe as top when the 525 will be made available but we expect the phone to sell well than the 520 and 521, when it comes.
