The N1 is the new and first Android tablet of Nokia which it announced as a surprising move. The N1 is quite similar to the iPad Mini as it features 7.9” display along with Android Lollipop OS. A single piece of anodized aluminum is used to craft this tablet which is responsible for its finest look. Its network is protected by zero air gap its display is an IPS LCD panel. It has a width of 6.9mm while it weighs 318 grams which makes him thinner and lighter than the iPad Mini.

It has 2GB of RAM while the new 2.4GHz Intel Atom Z3580 processor is under the hood to power the N1. A 5MP front camera and an 8MP camera at the back are also present there. A reversible Type C micro-USB port, a 5300MAH battery and stereo speakers are its other main features.

Android 5.0 is the OS while it changes the contacts and apps according to what you are doing at that moment and also on your location. By scrawling letters on the screen you can also pull up apps.

It will cost $249 while Natural Aluminum and Lava grey are the two colors in which the N1 tablet will be available. In mid February, it is expected to release in China and the other selected markets will follow later.

Nokia sold its business units and devices for $7.2 billion to Microsoft 7 months ago. MS used Windows Phone Devices with Lumia brand while Nokia was free for future devices to use its brand name. Due to agreement, Nokia can’t sell smartphones with its name till 2016 but the deal doesn’t include tablets. Nokia has also announced that through licensing after 2016, it will resume its smartphone production again.
