An online portal, “Self Service Portal” has been launched by PTCL which primarily aimed at helping customers with support and sales services.
Customers can register complaints, know the status of the complaint and chat with PTCL’s customer support team but they are currently not allowed to create their accounts to get updated status about the services they’re using. It is likely that in WSS, the company will add more features with time.
To actually service customers, this self-proclaimed Self Service Portal should have various additional features; therefore early impressions suggest that it is a half-hearted effort. For instance, a much-requested feature is not available to countless PTCL customers who’re unable to keep track of their data usage history.
The self service could be a blessing if customers were given an option to access levels, upgrade/degrade or modify the broadband speeds and other similar things.
Anyway, PTCL should be praised for providing us a platform where customers can odder EVO devices or new DSL/Broadband connections. Frequent Asked Questions section and large number of tutorial videos are also available on the portal.
