Oppo Adds A New Phone In Its Popular Reno 5 Series

Last year in December, the Chinese smartphone brand, Oppo unveiled the flagship series of smartphones called Oppo Reno 5. With the passage of time, the company has been introducing the new models of the mobiles in the series.

In the latest development, Oppo has introduced another phone in the series called Oppo Reno 5A. The handset for now launched the handset in Japan only and expected to make its global debut soon. The Oppo Reno 5 mostly acquires the specification sheet same as previously launched Reno 5 5G phone in the series.

The company has mainly made a little changes in terms of display slow charging speed and lower battery capacity in the newly launched variant as compared to Reno 5 5G in the series.

Design and Display

The Oppo Reno 5A has a display size of 6.5 inch IPS LCD with a 90Hz refresh rate and 1080p+ resolution. The phone has almost nonexistent bezels on the sides and has slightly thick top and bottom bezels. The selfei camera is placed in the punch hole on the top left display of the phone.

The Oppo Reno 5A is featured with a rectangular camera setup. The fingerprint sensor is mounted on the rear side same as other models previously launched in the series. The phones is provided with IP68 water and dust resistant.

Internals and Storage

As far as the internals are concerned, the Oppo Reno 5A is powered by Snapdragon 765 chipset and mated with 6 GB LPDDR4x RAM and 128 GB UFS 2.1 onboard storage. As for the software, the smartphone goes with ColorOS 11.1 topped with Android 11.

Cameras

The handset is provided with a quad camera setup that has a 64 MP main module with an f/1.7 aperture and Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS). It is accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide angle camera and two 2MP modules. On the front, the phone is equipped with 16MP sensor selfei camera.

Battery and Pricing

The Oppo Reno 5A is powered by a 4,000mAh and featured with a 18W fast charging which is a big decrease from 65W as compared Oppo Reno 5 5G. The company has not yet revealed the price and launch availability of the phone.
