Samsung at last revealed the Galaxy S5 Plus smartphone which is the Snapdragon 805 version of 2014 flagship of the company. Similar to Galaxy S4 LTE-A which was launched quite late last year, this is also a small late season upgrade.
Galaxy S5 initially appeared last year including a 2.5GHz quad-core processor and Snapdragon 801 chipset while now this new model has a new core of Krait 450 but with the same 2.5GHz processor.
A new generation GPU ‘Adreno 420’ is also present in the chipset. The addition of 4G+LTE is another major change which has increased the download speeds to 300Mbps while 50Mbps remained the upload speed.
Apart from that, it also has 2800mAh battery, 2GB RAM and 16GB internal memory.
Apparently, the device has 5.1” 1080p display without a qHD screen. 142×72.5×8.1mm is the dimensions of phone while it weighs 145 grams. The S Health protects the phone from water and dust. Other features include fingerprint sensor on the home button, Ultra Power Saving Mode and Heart rate Monitor.
Surprisingly, the phone also has 2MP front-face camera and 16MP HD camera at back with 4K video function. Bluetooth and NFC are its connectivity options.
It has appeared in Netherlands with blue, black, gold and white colors but its pricing and availability in other regions is not mentioned by the company.
