A newly arrived patent from Samsung Electronics showcases a Galaxy Tablet with a clamshell based folding design. This means that the Foldable Galaxy Tablet will be folded vertically instead of a common galaxy fold, just like the recently released Motorola Razor. The capture around the center of the display allows the device to be no larger than a passport booklet.

The joke by Lets Go Digital also shows what the device looks like in real life.

The complete details about features and specifications yet not leaked, but the official images show an all-display design, meaning that Samsung hopefully going to launch the foldable tab in display front camera. Delicate polymer screens can remove the biggest drawback in galaxy folds as well. The reason for this is that Samsung recently signed a contract with Davi Onsie to supply UTG (Ultra Thin Glass) for future foldables, which will eliminate the need for plastic folding screens. However, since it is a patent only, it is unclear whether Samsung is going to launch the device into mass production.
