The annual upgrade of its smartphones has been made by Samsung as the company has released the Samsung J5 and J7 (2017) editions which have improved designs as compared to previous versions.
The release date and price of Samsung J5 are the end of June and 280 euro (Rs. 33,000) respectively while July and 340 euro (Rs. 40,000) are the releasing date and price of the Samsung J7 respectively. As compared to these prices of European markets, the prices in Pakistan could be slightly higher.

Design & Display

There are curved antenna lines on the back and the S7 like design on the front of both the J5 and J7 phones. Most of the Samsung devices have traditional horizontal arrangements but these two phones are having a vertical layout with back camera/flash layout.
The displays of J5 and J7 have 5.2” 720p resolution and 5.5” 1080p resolution respectively. Both the J5 and J7 have Super

AMOLED displays.

IP 53 splash resistant is present in J7 and absent in the J5 which is the main difference between these two devices. Both the J5 and J7 have finger print scanner as well.

Internals and Storage

Both the devices are having the Exynos 780 octa chipset. The J7 has higher 3 GB RAM as compared to 2 GB RAM of the J5. 16 GB is the internal stores of both these devices and you can increase this storage via microSD card slot.
Android nougat is the default OS while there is also presence of Samsung’s custom UI in both these devices.

Cameras and Battery

At the rear, both the J5 and J7 have 13 MP cameras with LED flash. At the front, the J5 has a modest 5 MP camera while the J7 has the same 13 MP camera with LED flash.
The company has changed the batteries of both these devices as the battery capacity of the J5 has decreased and that of the J7 has increased as compared to last year. The Samsung J5 has now 3300 mAh battery instead of the previous 3100 mAh battery while the battery of the J7 is now 3600 mAh after its up gradation from the previous 3300 mAh.
