Samsung Waterproof Galaxy Tab 2

Samsung, the leading mobile phone manufacturing company of the world, has launched its recent rugged device, Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 with all corresponding certifications. This handset has standard IP68 water and dust resistance and it has the military grade MIL-STD-810 certification. The tablet has succeeded the first generation Galaxy Tab active, which was announced three years back.

Display and Hardware

The front side of this handset has 8 inch TFT LCD display with 1280 x 800 resolution and upto 480 nits of brightness. It has the features of high sensitivity to use with gloves and S Pen support with slot on top and the fingerprint scanner is provided under home button. The clients can get octa core Exynos 7870 processor with 3 GB RAM and 16 GB expandable storage. On the back of the handset, there is 8 MP camera with LED flash and 5 MP camera is added on the front side to make the selfies.

Battery and Connectivity

Galaxy Tab Active 2 is provided in the market with 4450 mAh battery and it is also removable. The design of the handset is as high as 1.2 meters. The OS is Android 7.1.1 Nougat with the software update.

The POGO pin connector for the accessories like the barcode readers, Bluetooth, GPS and Wi-Fi are added for the connectivity. It will be added with the optional LTE version on the retail.

Price and Availability

This smart phone will be made available in Netherlands from November with the price of €500 and it depends on the model as the price of the handset soars to €600. The bigger issue of this handset is going to be provided after some time as Samsung did not announce its availability in Pakistan yet.
