Sony company commenced giving out the Android Lollipop updates for the Sony Xperia Z and Experia ZR. The latest firmwares are now available just on the air, however we are looking forward to get those pop up soon at Sony PC Companion too.
Sony Xperia Z
The size of the update are around 700MB big and improving the Xperia Z and ZR with Android 5.0.2 Lollipop OS including with other upgrades like:
- Android 5.0.2 Lollipop
- Google Material design across the UI and compatible apps
- Intelligent lock screen notifications and customizable settings
- Support for multi-user profiles and guest mode
- Move apps to SD card option
For the installation of the update you are going to require at least 1.2GB of free storage (We would suggest 2GB before the PTA download) and in case of failure you may require to back up some vital data.
Different user reports recommend the update is currently live in Bolivia, Bangladesh, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Among others. Hopefully more markets are going to join those very soon.
Currently that the Android Lollipop is coming up on the Xperia Z and ZR the Xperia ZL and Xperia Z updates might be just on the way too.
