The experts of University of California, Berkeley have prepared an interesting app through which 200 earthquakes in past 6 months were successfully recognized. The network of earthquakes can also be understand through this app. Its creator said that ‘Myshake’ can recognize small and large earthquakes. This app was released in February 2016 while 200,000 people have downloaded this android app so far.

According to the expert of earthquake center of Europe and Mediterranean in France, several people made such app before but ‘Myshake’ is best and effective among them. Currently, it only records data but they will be made to alert from earthquake so that precious lives could be saved by transporting people to safer places.

Very expensive and sensitive sensors are attach at very depth in earthquake endangered areas and such sensors are also present in Quetta and other areas of Balochistan in collaboration with Europe. But these sensors are not available everywhere and one such example is Bhutan where earthquakes are common but people have smartphones and this app can be used as warning of earthquakes for people. People in Japan can also use this app by getting enough time to get under bed or run towards vast fields.

The team of ‘myshake’ has used a procedure based on ‘neural network’ through which this app can differentiate between earthquake and simple vibration and then warns about earthquake. This app network on mobile phone is very sensitive and recognizes fast but less destructive waves and helps to protect from slow but destructive waves later. Recognition of epicenter is also possible through this app.
