Xiaomi Donates Rs. 1,000 to Shaukat Khanum Hospital for Selling of Every Phone

 Xiaomi is the leading mobile phone manufacturing companies and now it has joined hands with Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital. The company has launched the mobile phone recently and now it has announced that it will donate a portion of its sale to the cancer hospital being established by the renowned cricketer and politician, Imran Khan. This portion of money donated by the mobile phone company will help to raise the awareness among people and funds for taking the initiatives for the hospital.

Xiaomi will automatically donate PKR 1,000 from its profit to SKMCH on the sale of every phone. For every eco product purchased like hands free, power bank, mi band will be donating PKR 100 to SKMCH. This campaign was started during the month of Ramadan and now it will be continued till 15 more days after eid.

During 2016, the registration of total 10,203 new patients was recorded and 236,351 outward patients were treated, which is almost three times the number of registrations and it is also five times more the number of visits in 2000.

During last fifteen years, the hospital has seen the enhancing trend of the number of treatments, which are provided to the patients. Due to their latest technology in treatment, many young lives are being saved at SKMCH and the zakat contributes in the treatment to about 75% of the poor cancer patients for free. SKMCH needs to raise PKR 5.5 billion to help in the treatment of poor cancer patients. SKMCH plans to open the research center, which will be set up in Karachi.
