Just now in Pakistan, Zong launched its 3G services commercially.

Zong’s top management, members of PTA and Chairman PTA Dr. Ismail Shah participated at the launch ceremony that was held in Islamabad at Zong’s headquarter.

This commercial launch has opened the 3G services of Zong in Karachi and Lahore. These 3G services of Zong will also be available in couple of weeks in Islamabad.

Zong 3G

Zong will offer daily, weekly and monthly packages to its customers, according to our received information.

Zong 3G Packages:

At the price of Rs. 650/month, the maximum data limit available to a customer is 4GB.

Add-ons for 3G Packages

Add-ons on 3G packages are offered by Zong. Within time duration of packages, add-ons will allow customers to use more data and in the package, it is a value-addition basically. E.g. you can select any of the add-on to continue using 3G services if you’ve the package of 150MB limit and you’re close to finish your data limit before the expiry of that package.

With the expiry of your already selected data-package, the add-ons will also expire.

Out of Bundle Charges:

Rs. 1 per MB will be the charge of your 3G services if you’re out of bundle and you haven’t added any add-on to your account. It will expire along with the expiration of your subscribed bundle.

Default 3G Package:

For 3G services of Zong, the default 3G package or charges is Rs. 10/MB without the selection of any package.

Free Social Package

A free social package is offered for limited time by Zong. Unlimited WhatsApp, Twitter and Facebook can be used with this package. Details are given below.

• What is Add-on?

In order to keep enjoying 3G experience, add-ons can be purchased to as they’re increments of small volume.

• What is Out of Bundle Rate?

Instead of Rs. 10/MB default rate, Re. 1/MB out-of-bundle rate will be charged in case the customer doesn’t purchase an add-on after reaching his data bundle’s volume cap.

• Will Zong Cap Speeds after 3G Bundles are consumed?

To protect the user from consuming too much data at 3G speeds after reaching volume cap of a bundle, his/her mobile internet speed will be decreased to 2G.

• How many times a bundle can be Re-subscribed?

Multiple time re-subscriptions can be done after reaching volume cap.

• When will the Default Package be charged?

Rs. 10/MB default rate will be charged in case the user has not subscribed to any bundle.
