Gone are the days when the drivers made the mistake and they ran away or they bribed the traffic police officials and they got out of the situation. Now the traffic police has analyzed the grave situation of traffic and they claimed to replace the CCTV cameras in Lahore so that they can monitor the mistakes of the traffic and generate the automate challan. After this, the challan will be sent to the doorstep of the culprits.

Lahore has big population and it is dense city, where the maintenance of traffic law and order is not an easy task. The roads are narrow and busy, the traffic is heavy and there is noise of the running vehicles and the businessmen have extensions on the footpaths and roads, which grave this situation and maintaining the traffic rules is not possible and the e-ticketing system is necessary to be implemented in this busy city.

The government is going to launch this project in the city after necessary approval of the chief minister of Punjab. This project has been announced and it will be implemented in the next few months.

Overview of the System

The government is going to install the CCTV camera on the busy traffic junctions and these CCTV cameras will monitor the irregular behavior of the traffic including breaking the signals, or wrong u-turns, which can cause accidents and they are also happened due to over speeding on the busy roads. The violations of the traffic rules will be viewed by the higher authorities and this system is kept pending for the approval of the chief minister and the e-ticket will generate extra income. This generated challan will be sent to the culprits on his address through the courier service. The photo of the incident and the picture of the number plate of the vehicle will be attached with the challan so that it can help to understand the nature of the incident and resolve the questions of the responsible person showing his involvement in this incident.

Challan Information

It is also reported that the challan due will have to be paid within 15 days and the automated system will re-generate the challan after 15 days and the extra charges will be added in the challan for non-payment of the challan within due date. Then the re-generated challan will be sent to the responsible person on his home address.

Increased Revenue

This e-ticketing system will help the government to get the consistent generation of the revenue from the responsible persons and traffic police gets settled the personal gain and they do not follow the law. With this system, they will not get the personal gain and the challan will be done automatically.
