The new development has been made on the mobile phone top up as the mobile phone companies, which are operating in Pakistan, have withdrawn the operational and service charges on card load and on the transfer of the mobile phone balances. Customers Get Top Up Rs. 88 on Rs.100 Card.

An official of the telecom company has confirmed that the mobile phone users now get around Rs.88 after loading of the Rs.100 card. Previously, the customers got Rs.77 on the load of Rs.100 card. This case was filed in the Supreme Court of Pakistan  and on the orders of the honorable court, the rates were reverted to the mobile phone load rates to July 2018 levels.

The former Chief Justice of Pakistan issued orders to remove all taxes and service charges on the loads of mobile phone and now this decision was reverted back last month and the taxes on the telecom services were restored. The mobile phone operators are asked not to charge the servicer or operational fee for card loads. It is mentioned here that 12.5% withholding tax and 19.5% FED is also applicable as before and it will be deducted from the recharge of the mobile card. Present 12.5% withholding tax is not deducted in Gilgit Baltistan province so the people of that area will get full Rs.100 balance for Rs.100 card load.
