KP Youth Employment Program

KP Youth Employment Program has been launched for providing training to the youth in the districts of Abbottabad, Peshawar and Mardan. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board is administered the program and the World Bank has provided the technical assistance to the youth.

KPYEP has maintained its previous success and it incorporates the lesion from the first phase of program and it was started in March 2016. There are about 4000 KP residents, who were trained on the freelancing platforms and KPYEP was the first public sector supported freelancing training program in Pakistan. The application process for re-launch was started on 14 August and there were over 8000 KP residents, who applied in just 6 weeks. The application data was analyzed and the first batch of the courses was started, which was based on the demand per district.

The training program is going to start on the software and hardware skills for the Internet of Things (IoT) device development for WordPress skills, engineers, and the beginners will want to develop the websites and the Graphic Design and Digital Marketing courses for the creative youth, which are being offered. The vision of KPYEP is to be first digital economy platform of Pakistan to connect the youth with the skills, training and the employment opportunities. It keeps us with quick changing demands of digital economy with the use of adaptive and flexible approach.

KPYEP is the open platform to connect the training providers with the learners to meet the demand and help to provide the facility of the learning opportunities. The applications for the batches and other courses will be provided very soon.
