Following the Snapdragonm, the Taiwanese chipset maker MediaTek also announced to launch it next flagship processor to compete with others including Snapdragon in terms of Chipsets. Snapdragon has already announced its flagship chipsets Snapdragon 888. According to the chief executive officer of the MediaTek, Rick Tsai, the MediaTeks new high end chipset will break cover around the first quarter of 2021.
According to MediaTek’s CEO, the flagship chipset is set to introduce before the Chinese New Year. The CNY is celebrated in February and we can expect that the company will announce its chipset sometimes in January.
The company has not yet revealed the detailed information about the upcoming MediaTek’s Processor but reportedly chipset will be a TSMC 6nm. The 5nm technology is already booked by Qualcomm and Apple.
The Taiwanese Chip maker’s next flagship processor might be the MediaTek MT6893 as suggested in the benchmark listing previously.
According to the CEO MediaTek:
“MediaTek plans to announce several other chipsets during the period and the main goal is to penetrate the 5G handset market and make it more affordable. The company expects 5G Smartphone shipments to double this year with more than 200 million units”
So in future we will see the mobiles topped with high end and flagship chipsets from the to chipset makers around the world and in this way we will enter in the new dimensions of enhanced technology regarding smartphones.
