Recently, Oppo’s latest creation, the Oppo A38, made a subtle debut on the company’s website in the United Arab Emirates. This comes after leaks gave us a sneak peek of what to expect.

One of the standout features of the Oppo A38 is its 50 MP primary camera, although it’s worth noting that the phone uses a basic LTE-only chipset, even in an era where 5G coverage is available in major cities across the UAE.

The phone boasts a 6.56-inch LCD screen with HD+ resolution, offering a smooth experience with a 90 Hz refresh rate and a matching 90 Hz touch sampling rate. A small waterdrop notch at the top houses the 5 MP front camera.

On the back of the device, you’ll find two cameras, but the primary 50 MP camera with an f/1.8 aperture steals the show with its autofocus capabilities. The second camera is a 2 MP depth sensor.

Under the hood, the Oppo A38 is powered by the Mediatek Helio G85 chipset, paired with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. If you need more space, there’s a micro SD slot that can take an additional 1 TB of storage.

What’s reassuring is that Oppo’s AE division has committed to providing updates for the phone for up to 2.5 years, which is significant given the A38′s affordable price point.

Keeping everything running is a robust 5,000 mAh battery, supporting 33W SuperVOOC charging along with basic PD (9V/1.5A) support.

The Oppo A38 will be available in two eye-catching colors – Black and Gold. While details about pricing and availability are yet to be revealed, given its budget-friendly specifications, it’s anticipated to cost below $200.”
