Samsung Decides To Discontinue Shipment of Chargers With Future Phones


After Apple, the South Korean tech giant, Samsung has also announced to discontinue the shipment of charger in with future smartphones. The retail box of the future smartphones of the company will not come with chargers now. Previously, various rumors and news were surfacing in this regard on various sources but now the company itself has confiremed speculations.

The head of Customer Experience Office, Samsung Patrick Chomet said:

“We believe that the gradual removal of charger plugs and earphones from our in-box device packaging can help address sustainable consumption issues and remove any pressure that consumers may feel towards continually receiving unnecessary charger accessories with new phones”

The company is expected to remove the accessory from the flagship devices at initial phase and then gradually it will not ship charger with other phones as well. It can be assumed the Samsung’s upcoming flagship series Galaxy Note 21 or the upcoming foldable phones will come without charger but it is not confirmed yet.

The companies like Apple, Xiaomi and now Samsung has taken this decision. According to them they are removing chargers just for sake of environment. The customers already have old chargers with them and new ones will be unnecessary, that’s why they have decided to discontinue shipping the chargers with phones.
