Chinese manufacturer Vivo has officially declared its intention to launch the next-generation Vivo X100 series by year-end. This new lineup will comprise the standard, Vivo X100 Pro, and Vivo X100 Pro Plus models, succeeding the existing X90 series.

Fresh insights into the upcoming smartphones have surfaced online, courtesy of the prominent Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo. According to this insider information, both the Vivo X100 Pro and Pro+ models will boast IP68 certification, ensuring robust water and dust resistance.

However, it’s worth noting that the standard X100 model’s IP rating remains unconfirmed for now. For context, the previous X90 series featured IP64 and IP68 certifications for its non-pro and pro models, respectively.

One standout feature of these devices is their 50W wireless charging support, exclusively available in the Pro and Pro+ variants. Vivo’s latest 5G offerings in the X100 series are expected to come equipped with dual stereo speakers, an X-Axis linear motor, and an IR Blaster.

All three models will feature substantially upgraded camera systems, with the Pro+ modelintroducing a rectangular island housing, departing from the conventional circular camera module. With these advanced enhancements,
