The Chinese phone maker, Vivo has recently updated its V23 phones series by launching two smartphones vanilla V23 and the V23 Pro. The new phones in the series are offered with the unique features. When both phones are kept in sunlight for 5 minutes their color will be changed. The phones are provided with group selfies camera as well.
Design and Display
The vanilla variant in the series V23 is featured with a 6.44-inch 1080p 90Hz AMOLED display and on the other side, the Pro model has a slightly bigger 6.56-inch screen with the same specifications. The display of vanilla variant is flat while the pro variant comes with a curved display. Both phones offered in the dedicated Sunshine Gold option which changes their colors in the sunlight when placed for 5 minutes.
On the front, both phones are featured with a wide notch similar to iPhone with dual selfie shooters.
Internals and Storage
The base model V23 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 920 chip while the Pro sibling is featured with the flagship-grade Dimensity 1200 SoC. But that is the only difference here since both phones have the same memory options including 8GB/12GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage.
On the software front, both phones run Android 12 with FunTouch OS 12 on top.
Cameras
Both phones have only difference in terms of camera which is that the vanilla V23 model has 64MP main sensor while pro model V23 Pro is offered with 108MP main camera. The remaining specifications are same in the both models including an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP macro unit.
The selfie setup is also similar in both phones as well with a 50MP main camera and an 8MP ultrawide sensor.
Battery and Pricing
The base variant V23 is powered by 4,200 mAh battery while the top end variant is housed with a a 4,300 mAh power cell, both with 44W fast charging.
As far as the pricing is concerned, the price of Vivo V23 is $400 while the V23 Pro is priced at $520. Currently phones are available in India for sale and expected to hit the global market soon.
