According to major announcement by Japan’s National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT), Japan is now at the top most position after achieving the target of fastest internet speed globally.

According to NICT the 319 TB per second internet speed test was successfully conducted. Now the Japan has become no 1 by beating the University College of London with a 178TB per second record set in August 2020.

The Japanese researchers tested the whole wavelength band (S-Band) at the distance of 3,001KM. They added a new material as amplifiers which are known as Erbium and Thulium.

These materials ware tested as new technique called Raman amplification hence they were able to utilize the S band over a longer distance. On this way they got this major achievement and become no 1 in the world with the fastest internet speed ever.
