Redmi 6 TENAA

Xiaomi is going to release the next midrange smart phone, Redmi 6 and most of the specifications of this handset have already been released. The company has declared the launch date of 12 June. The viewers will find the notched cutouts on the front of the handset and the phablet sized tall display will be featured and it is available at the affordable rate. The handset, Redmi 6 is providing in the market in various variants and it might get named Redmi 6 Plus and Redmi 6 Pro after its release. The leaked test unit has surfaced online and it will look like, when it will be showcased.

Design & Display

The smart phone, Redmi 6 will be the first Xiaomi phones to get the notched display. The Chinese manufacturing company  has started its iterations of notched display in budget phones in order to attract entry level and midrange crows. It is expected to get the metal build like the affordable lineup of Xiaomi. The back design of the handset is generic and company is making effort to minimize the cost on the premium look to add better hardware with notched display. The rear side is similar to recent smartphones of Xiaomi and has the vertical dual camera array, cosmetic, which is engraved on the top and the fingerprint sensor on its side.

The display of the handset has 5.84 inch panel and it has the FHD+ at the aspect ratio of 19:9 and for the display technology, it is likely to be the TFT / IPS LCD as Xiaomi does not use the OLED panels in the budget lineup. Redmi 6 has the white colored notch and the notch hiding software features and it might get more color options later.

Internal specifications

The handset, Redmi 6 plus has the 2 GHz octa core CPU. The listings have not shown the name or make of the chipset and it has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 or Helio P60. There are the popular midrange processors that are the octa-core and they can have the core configuration.  The storage and RAM options of the handset are 2 / 16 GB, 3 / 32 GB and 4 / 64 GB and they can be extended by microSD card in the card slot.

The base Redmi 6 is expected to have the lower end processer and slightly smaller display. The two Redmi 6 Plus or Pro variants will share the processors and same footprint with taller display than Redmi 6s.

Camera, Software and Battery

The smart phone has the rear dual camera set up, which will be added with 12 MP main sensor and 5 MP secondary depth sensor. It is used to provide the background blur for the portrait mode. The Redmis will have the higher resolution front camera than the back camera.

The smart phone will come with Android 8.1 Oreo with the latest MIUI 10 of Xiaomi on the top and the size of the battery is 3900 mAh but it might not get the fast charging like Quick Charge of Qualcomm. There are various color options like black, white, rose gold, red, gray, pink, blue, champagne gold and silver. It was released on 12 June by Xiaomi and now it will be exhibited on the shelves in China.
