The Xiaomi sub brand Redmi has already launched a gaming edition in its Redmi K40 series. Now the phone maker is set to launch another gaming phone in the series. The handset will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset. Redmi has launched another K40 gaming edition on Weibo, but this time with the Snapdragon 870. The original Redmi’s 40 gaming edition includes MediaTek Dimensity 1200SC..
The company teaser has not revealed much detail of the smartphone, but the renowned tipster Digital Chat Station has previously confirmed the Snapdragon 870SC and said the phone will be very similar to the original.
This means we can expect to see a 6.67-inch OLED panel with 1080p resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. It will have a 64MP camera setup on the back with 4K video recording and a 5065 mAh battery with 67W super fast charging.
The Dimensity 1200, of course, will change to the Snapdragon 870, but with the same memory settings that are already available for UFS storage and LPDDR5 RAM.
The design may be the same as before, but we may have new color options and maybe even more globally available.
The exact launch date of the phone is not yet confirmed, but the possibility will come soon.
