BlackBerry has made a major shift in its policy through a recent announcement. The DTEK50 is its second Android-based smartphone which it is quite much similar to the Alcatel Idol 4 which is already available.

Though, its specs will not seem much attractive but it still worth much. 5.2” HD display is present at its front that will run through Android marshmallow OS and Snapdragon 617. 3 GB is the amount of RAM available here along with 16 GB internal memory expandable via microSD card slot. There is a 13 MP main and 8 MP front camera while 2610 mAH is the capacity of the battery.

 

An important feature of BlackBerry is its security measure and it is also available in this device. The DTEK software is already available that will inform you about any malware and also things like taking pictures etc. without your permission. The tasks can also be assigned to a programmable Hub key of BlackBerry while other such features include Instant Action, Gesture Control, BlackBerry keyboard and Device Search.

$299 is the price of this device and 8th August 2016 is the date of its release. Most people don’t require such security features but many can get it in this price range.
