After the recent release of Xiaomi’s first Mi Notebook Air laptop, now another Chinese company has entered in the lineup of Apple Macbook, as Lenovo has announced the same kind of laptop named “Air 13 Pro”. Apart from design, the new laptop has the same 13” IPS screen size with 1920 x 1080 resolution.

This notebook by Lenovo contains an Intel Core i5-6200U processor along with NVIDIA GeForce 940MX for better graphics and 4 GB of RAM. According to normal standard of recent laptops, it also includes 256 GB of PCIe solid state storage.

Lenovo is offering best connectivity options as it supports a USB Type-C port, USB 2.0 port, USB 3.0 port, 802.11 sc Wi.Fi and Bluetooth 4.1. The users will also get best audiophiles through standard headphone jack, dual microphones and 1 W stereo speakers.

Lenovo Air 13 Pro is slightly heavier than Mi NoteBook of Xiaomi with 1.28 kg weight as the weight of the former is 1.29 kg. its thickness is only 0.6” while its battery is 46 Whr which is more than 40 Whr battery of Xiaomi’s laptop. Its other features are backlit keyboard, a 720P webcam and a SDXC card reader.

The most astonishing feature of the device is the presence of fingerprint recognition which is not available in both Xiaomi Mi Notebook and Apple Macbook. But you can use Mi Band 2 to unlock Xiaomi’s Notebook.

The pre-registration of the laptop is now available in China for RMB 4999 or $750. But there are reports that the price will increase to RMB 5499 or $825 after the end of pre-sale.

There are few similarities between laptops of Xiaomi and Lenovo but there are differences in their prices and specs. Lenovo Notebook has fingerprint recognition sensor and larger battery but with less powerful processor and less RAM.

As compared to Xiaomi, Lenovo Notebook is less appealing as the price of $750 is only in China and also pre-registration but Lenovo is famous brand as compared to Xiaomi. Despite several differences, there is no doubt both the laptops are worthwhile according to their price.
