Pakistan Ranks 4th Slowest in World for 4G LTE Speeds

The UK based wireless coverage mapping company has done the research work over the speed of 4G LTE services in Pakistan. The company found that Pakistan is the 4th slowest country in the world with the average LTE speed of 4 Mbps, which is little bit above the average speed of 3G (3.5 mbps).

The company has also revealed that Iran is raking bad, Costa Rica is on the second lowest position, and Saudi Arabia on the third lowest position with 3 mbps. Pakistan is at the fourth last position as it has the average speed of 4 mbps, which is the average speed for 4 LTE network. It is added that the global average speed for the 4G LTE network is 13 mbps.

Singapore is at the top of the list in providing the fastest average LTE speed of 37 mbps and New Zealand is on the second with 29 mbps and Hungary is on the third best position with its 28 mbps.

The report of Open Signal, UK wireless coverage mapping company has revealed that Pakistan has the average LTE speed of only 4 mbps, which is little bit better than the average speed of LTE 3G, which is 3.5 mbps. Zong has done the coverage of 56% for 4G speed, which was 7 mbps and Warid has the average speed for 4G, which is 3 mbps.

It is also revealed that India and Sri Lanka are better than Pakistan as they have more 4G LTE speed than Pakistan. India has 13 mbps and Sri Lanka has 11 mbps on their 4G LTE speed. But Pakistan has some superiority over India as it has better coverage of 58 percent while India has 49 percent and Sri Lanka has 39 percent. On the global level, South Korea is at the top with 97 percent and Japan is following with 90 percent.

PTA has released the latest data that the users of 4G were jumped from 254,122 subscribers during November 2015 and they are 282,701 subscribers in December and Warid has total 10.69 million subscribers
