Samsung Experiences A Decline In Sales of Smartphones For First Time In Nine Years

For a decade, the Korean Smart Phone maker was listed at the top regarding the sales of its smart phones. But now the Korean giant is facing a huge decline in the sales of its devices for the first time during the tenure of nine years. As the year is going to its an end and company is closing the year sales with a loss of 300 million exports of its smartphones. The company is facing this massive decline due to global pandemic.

According to a South Korean publishing agency, the company shipped 270 million units in 2020. The report further reveals that the Samsung shipped 189 million units in the third quarter of the year. Now the company is planning to achieve a target of 307 million units by expanding mid ranged devices and low end 5G category devices. Further, the smart phone maker is expecting more than 50 million shipment of its flagship next year.

Samsung, reportedly has a plan to ship 93 percent smartphones and 7 percent feature phones will be included in to 20 millions. So let’s see how the company will cope with this situation to make itself stable in the global market.
