After launching various products including Mi 11 Mix Fold and Mi 11 Ultra etc, the Chinese tech giant Xiaomi has also announced two variants of its new laptops as well. These are the Xiaomi Mi NoteBook Pro 14 inch and Xiaomi Mi NoteBook Pro 15 inch variants.
Design and Display
These are the ultra books and have similar design and aesthetics to the previously launched laptops by Xiaomi. The Display of the Xiaomi Mi NoteBook 15 inch is built with E4 OLED display and this display mostly used in the flagship handsets. It has 600 nits peak brightness and features DC dimming. It provides 3.5K resolution, 261 PPI pixel density, 16:10 aspect ratio, 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut for a color-accurate display, and Gorilla glass protection.
On the other side, the Xiaomi Mi NoteBook 14 inch has comparatively low grade specifications. It has a 120 Hz LCD (vs an OLED in the 15-inch model) display with 2.5K resolution, 16:10 aspect ratio, and color accuracy with a delta-E of just 1.5. However, it lacks HDR support. A backlit keyboard, a fingerprint sensor for Windows Hello login, and an HD webcam is featured in the both Xiaomi laptops. Both laptops of the Xiaomi come in Crescent Silver and Moonstone Grey color options.
Internals
The Xiomi Mi NoteBook 15 inch laptop is internally equipped with 11th generation Intel Core processors. The processor comes with standard option of the Core i5 but it can also be exchanged with Core i7 as well. As for the GPU it has two options to choose whether Intel’s internal Iris GPU or and NVIDIA GeForce MX450 GPU (2 GB VRAM). The Xiaomi NoteBook Pro will be topped by 16 GB RAM and 512 GB NVME SSD storage for both 14″ and 15″ variants. The 15-inch variant has a 66Wh battery with 100W fast charging. Additionally, laptops feature dual-fan cooling, stringent Intel Evo Platform certification for laptops.
On the other side, the Xioami Mi NoteBook pro 14 inch is powered by a Core i5 or i7 11th gen processor plus the MX450 GPU or the internal GPU. However, it packs a 56 WHr battery that charges at 100W. Both laptops have Wi-Fi 6 connectivity.
Both laptops have no ports instead they are provided with a Thunderbolt 4 port and 3 USB-C ports, you can’t attach a mouse/keyboard or anything that uses a full-sized USB-port without an extension dongle which will be included in the packaging. They do have a 3.5mm headphone jack so there’s that.
