Xiaomi Officially Launches Mi 11 Pro And Mi 11 Ultra

The Xiaomi launched the premium phone Xiaomi Mi 11 last year in December 2020. The concept of releasing various models in the series and was supposed to launch only one phone but the concept turned false and company has decided to add to more mobiles in the series.

The smartphone maker launched two more models in the Mi 11 series dubbed Xiomi Mi 11 Pro and Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra at its New Product Launch Event 2021 with high end specifications with powerful battery and enhance imaging technology.

Design and Display

The Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro has same specification as of previously launched base variant Xiaomi Mi 11 in the series. It has the same pill-shaped camera bump on top of a squircle aisle at the back. The display size of the Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro is 6.81 inch AMOLED panel 1440p resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate, 480Hz touch sampling rate, 1700 nits advertised peak brightness, Dolby Vision, Gorilla Glass Victus protection, and pre-applied quad curved screen protector.

The fingerprint sensor is mounted underneath the panel. The phone is also featured with AG frosted glass which provides a matte finish. The Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro is available in Light Purple, Emerald Green and Black colors.

On the other side, the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra is featured with a huge camera bump which covers the width of the phone mostly. The phone has also provided with a tiny secondary display for notifications, battery level, weather, health alerts, and other essential information.

Internals and Storage

As far as the internals are concerned, both phones are equipped with Snapdragon 888 chipset mated with 8 GB or 12 GB RAM and 128 or 256 GB onboard storage. The storage expansion facility is unavailable in both phones like most flagship phones.

The phones also have thermal management that uses a large 150mm vapor chamber and accompanying copper heat sinks. It is the first device in the world to feature full phase change cooling technology. The system comes with an organic hydrocarbon material that changes states between solid, liquid, gas. The handsets are IP68 rated which means they will be water-resistant up to 1.5 meters and for 30 minutes. These are the first handsets by the company to come with water resistance. Moreover, they also pack an IR Blaster and support Wi-Fi 6. The smartphone runs MIUI 12.5 flavored Android 11.

Camera

The Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro has Triple sensor camera featuring 50 MP, f/2.0, 24mm (wide), 1/1.12″, 1.4µm, Dual Pixel PDAF, OIS, 8 MP, 120mm (periscope telephoto), PDAF, OIS, 5x optical zoom and 13 MP, f/2.4, 16mm, 123˚ (ultrawide). On the other side the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra is also equipped with a triple sensor camera with the same 50 MP GN2 sensor main camera, 1/1.12″, 1.4µm, Dual Pixel PDAF, Laser AF, OIS, 48 MP, f/4.1, 120mm (periscope telephoto), 1/2.0″, 0.8µm, PDAF, OIS, 5x optical zoom, 48 MP, f/2.2, 12mm, 128˚ (ultrawide), 1/2.0″, 0.8µm, PDAF. Both phones are equipped with 20MP selfie camera.

Battery and Pricing

Both phones are equipped with 5,000mAh battery with 67W wired and 67 wireless charging support through which battery gets fully charged in just 36 minutes. The phones will be available for sale by 2nd April and the base variant of the Pro model will cost $762 while the 8GB/128GB variant of Mi 11 Ultra will retail at $914.
