The Chinese Smartphone maker Xiaomi has announced its global position regarding its progress in the smartphone industry. The company made this big announcement during the global launch ceremony of it flagship Mi 11 phone recently.
According to company, it has become the world’s third biggest company around the world and become the number 1 brand in 10 markets. Moreover, it has also made a place in the list of top 3 smartphone manufacturers in 36 markets.
According to official statistics of the company, it recorded impressive 3,639% growth year on year in Q3 2020 according to the Canalys data for the $500+ in top end segment.
In Q4 2019 to Q3 2020, Xiaomi has invested 3 3.3 billion in research and development. Investment is running out now. Initially, it took 3-4 days to test 2,143 cameras, but now, the process is fully automated and it only takes one day to perform the tests.
In the premium phone segment, the Xiaomi Mi10 Pro sat in the DxOMark camera rankings for 48 days and the Mi10 Ultra topped the list for nearly two and a half months. The company’s audio lab also celebrated the success as the Mi 10 Pro was voted the best phone in DXO audio tests for most of 2020. On the other side, Xiaomi’s offshot Redmi is performing well. Its Note series has shipped more than 200 million units worldwide.
