Realme 11 5G, the popular smartphone, has not only ventured into new global markets but has also unveiled an economical sibling that maintains impressive features while making a few concessions, notably in the camera and charging domains.
Unveiled under the name Realme 11x 5G, this pocket-friendly alternative is debuting in the Indian market. It largely mirrors the specifications of its non-”x” counterpart, boasting a sizeable 6.72-inch IPS LCD display that boasts a seamless 120Hz refresh rate coupled with a crystal-clear 1080p resolution.
The MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ chipset, a key player in the lineup, remains consistent. This processor is coupled with a maximum of 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage; however, it’s important to note that expandable storage through a micro SD card slot is unavailable. The software landscape is rooted in Android 13, overlaid with the user-friendly Realme UI 4.0.
Where differences come into play is in the primary camera setup. The once-potent 108MP sensor on the original Realme 11 5G has been replaced by a 64MP module on the Realme 11x 5G. This primary sensor is complemented by a 2MP depth sensor. Furthermore, the selfie camera has undergone a reduction from 16MP to 8MP.
While the 5,000 mAh battery capacity stands unchanged, there’s a slight shift in the charging department. The speed of the once-speedy 67W wired charging has been dialed back to 33W – still a commendable pace.
In terms of affordability, the Realme 11x 5G is slated to commence at a modest $180 price point, presenting a savings of more than $100 compared to the standard Realme 11 5G. This wallet-friendly variant is slated to arrive in attractive Purple Dawn and Midnight Black color choices.
