The South Korean tech giant, Samsung has introduced the smallest ever camera for smartphones. As per reports, the camera sensor comes with single pixel size only 0.64um and a 50mp resolution. The size of the camera is ½.76 and can be used in all midranged and flagship smartphones.
The company has used own ISOCELL technology in the lens that gives a reduced cross talk experience and advanced pixel isolation. This technology enhances the color fidelity and light sensitivity in the images.
The small sensor is capable of producing 12.5MP images with low noise using tetrapack technology. This technology also provides two different exposures at the same time and realtime HDR as well.
The sensor is also known as double super PD as it comes with improved phase detection. This sensor improves the accuracy and autofocus speed.
The user can capture 4k videos at 60FPS and 1080 videos with up to 240 fps (slow motion) using this sensor. The Samsung ISOCELL JN1 is in the final stages of its development is will make its entry in the smartphones soon.
